camp, camp, camp

G is off to camp again this week.  He struggled last week with not getting enough sleep, only having one pair of socks, and frustrations with interpersonal relationships.

When he was home he got 2 assignments done for each of his 2 online classes even though we went to Orlando and had M's birthday party.  It helped him to have a 1 hour timer set for each assignment.  At one point the oven (where the timer is set) beeped before he was done.  He was disappointed like loosing a game.  Then it turned out that the beep was just my pre-heat signal.  Yay, he went back and finished, then did the notes.  Someday he'll figure out that doing the notes first will save time and make the assignments easier.  But this weekend he still hasn't figured that out.

G was one of 4 Young Men asked to speak in church today.  At the last minute he decided to speak his talk rather than sign and let TS voice for him.  He said he was worried about using the wrong signs.  It's too bad.  His signing at all would have been well received by the deaf members.  TS would have read the written talk he gave her and the hearing congregation would have understood his humor better.  He speaks well but goes too fast for most people to understand him still.  Hopefully he'll follow the plan next time so more people can enjoy his talk.  It was a good talk.
