Great tests/gifts

G is at scout camp this week.  It's raining a ton and of course his CI failed.
We had hoped he would have he N7 upgrade by now which is more water resistant, but no.  I drove out to give him an air dry box I bought at CVS.  It didn't work for Wednesday but it worked today.

When I dropped off the dry box he was happily playing gaga ball.  People like to imagine he reads lips when his CI is broken.  G is good at reading expressions and asking questions.  If people ask him a question when he can't hear, he'll guess.  I'm grateful for sign language.

His phone also ran out of charge and P had deliberately sent him without a charger.  But G got another boy to lend him a charger.  So at least he is learning what to do when you need something.

I sent him this quote this morning.
"Tests are a gift.  And great tests are a great gift.  To fail a test is a misfortune.  But to refuse the test is to refuse the gift, and something worse, more irrevocable, than misfortune."
-Bujold

G has a lot of tests in his life and he does his best which is pretty great.
