Rocket launch perseverence

We drove down River to Sea to see a rocket launch last night and when we got there, with camp chairs and blankets, it was delayed 2 hours.  G was attending seminary on my phone so I didn't want us to leave and have him lose the signal he had (2 bars).  We debated the pros and cons of staying but in the end, adventure won out.  We enjoyed walking the beach in the dark.  Recent storms have eroded the shore and tons of boulders of coquina are exposed.  The restrooms were dark but we had phones to light them.

When seminary was done we got into the van and watched Macguyver.  Maybe watching the episode with them getting trapped in the nuclear reactor was a poor choice for our isolated, cold, wait.  I started the car a few times thinking that was enough to keep the battery going.  It was not.  Luckily dad was coming down to watch the rocket with us.  He arrived and got the car jumped in good time.  G was helpful with the jumping.

We got out of the car at 9:00 and watched the launch.  It went up.  Yay!
