I make a strong effort to involve G in household chores and routines.  G watches the little children weekly while I teach a sign language class at church.  He also loads the dishwasher.  It's pretty awesome how quickly he can empty a sink full of dishes. 

G went on a trip to DC recently and he got some new PJ pants to fill out the packing list.  They were too long for him so I instructed him on how to hem them up.  He felt they were still too long so I let him use the seam ripper and he sewed them again.  He loves being so competent.
