bike ride
P has a plan to ride from our town to Gtown on bikes with G this summer. They are methodically training. G has a newer motobecane bike that P got for $200. They've done a 10 and 20 mile ride, working their way up to the 80 mile ride. G goes out and bikes the neighborhood for 7 miles at about 45 minutes. He's learning some really great skills for tracking progress and incremental growth.
I'm so pleased at G's ability to work. He mowed the lawn the last 2 years and had such a great attitude about it. I'm grateful for his ability to take on a challenge without complaint.
Last week G went up to Jacksonville for a math competition. It was the same day as M was going to go paint-balling with a friend and G was invited too. I'm so glad he understood his commitment to the team and didn't try to whine his way out of the math competition. He had a lot of good feedback about the need to solve problems fast, but not hasty.
